Review: When you first read the title, you might think ... Ah ... Ninja Turtles kids substance. This conclusion is partly understandable, given to most people's minds drift to the cartoon show on Saturday morning, which was made for small children. But if you're one of the few people who remember the original TMNT cartoon and how it was dark, you probably think the name. This live-action version of Teenaged turtles back to their origins in the comics and stuff to sacrifice children for a more moody darker film. This is the key films of this magnitude. It shows how they were turtles for display. The movie is always fun, but gives the viewer during the early 90's teen slang and ass-kicking that you can press celuloid. The only problem is that the entire series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came with a love or hate the label on it, often giving it a bad reputation that it does not really deserve. The film Blade Runner is not Spiderman or any means, but it's still a good bit of film that you can not sit down with a bowl of popcorn (or maybe a pizza) and enjoy without much thought. Unfortunately, it's not as good as the series gets (not that this movie could do much better). The suites (TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze and TMNT 3) arent really big. TMNT 2 lacks the dull edge that makes this film well (with Vanilla Ice on the tape does not help much either) and TMNT 3 The course aims directly for the little ones. This is the great little film.
