Review: Five friends, 12 bar one evening: the famed Golden Mile pub crawl is to jump from one bar to the next downing pints and Gary King (Simon Pegg, star and co-writer) is determined to complete his best friends after 20 years to do it. This is the main prerequisite for the end of the world, the name of the bar in the final crawl. Directed and co-author Edgar Wrights British sci-fi comedy is the third installment of the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, finishing 2004s Shaun of the Dead and Hot 2007s Fuzz.Back in 1990, when all the black leather outfits and Britpop was still a cool, Gary was an active leader of the Rat Pack (consisting of Nick Frost, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman and Eddie Marsan) in school, but now he's forty-plus alcoholic heard and career. The only clique was still decorated in the same design he wore at the time, he even drives the same car with a cassette player. Its all an indication of how little he has progressed since, especially alongside his friends against sets and career in real estate, law and marketing. Journey through the city of 12 bar (especially the epic sound: The First Post, familiar, famous rooster cross arms, good companions, faithful servant of two-way dog, Rusalka, hive, The Kings Head, hole in the wall and terminate Worlds) started innocently enough, with Andrew is the only one who initially refused a drop of alcohol in the midst of man-child antics of Garys try nostalgic memories to rekindle his youth. There is more to this film than to watch a few middle-aged men off pints.
