Review: For a film loosely based on a poem written thousands of years ago, the writer and director did an excellent job in recreating the epic story of the ancient world and the screen, it was probably a very difficult task. Production is fantastic visual effects are great, and yet my opinion is about Troy Double: The film is built in such a way that we, the viewers, are not entirely sure who the bad guys. Brad Pitt is Achilles portrayed as the star, the hero, and yet he fights for the Greeks, who are portrayed as brutal warriors under the command of greedy tyrant, Agamemnon. In fact, all the Trojan War began only because of the greed of the king of Sparta, Menelaus. Paris, the Trojan prince (son of Priam, king) took Helen, Menelaus wife, back to Troy with him after a peace meeting in Sparta. This so enraged Menelaus and Agamemnon, brother, rounded up all the Greek army to attack Troy and recover his wife. On the other hand, the Trojans are sort of portrayed as good. Only because an error that Paris did the Trojans now have to sustain an attack of 50, 000 Greeks, while losing thousands of husbands, sons and cousins in the process. Hector is portrayed as a family man: He does not want to go to war, he prefers to stay at home with his wife and newborn son, but loyal to Troy and must fight for it. This is a little different from how the Trojan War has always been entrusted to me: Helen did not get away with Paris, but Paris seduced and she practically kidnapped to Troy. Hector was big, brutal warrior had absolutely no problem with killing people as he could. I really liked how the film shows how the Trojans and the Greeks good as evil, greedy tyrants. It definitely a new and unique to the film is wise story.Production impressive. The costumes, the sets and weapons? everything is high-level, excellent attention to detail. The visual are also impressive. The shot of Brad Pitt standing on the deck of a ship with the camera slowly zooming out, revealing just the whole Greek fleet consisted of 1,000 vessels is actually treat the naked eye. The computer graphics are excellent. It really hard to tell in the big battle scenes soldiers are computer graphics and are extra, you know that some of them should be CG because there are so many. The kicking long distance from the city of Troy are also great eye candy. In general, the only thing this film is especially great for fun, and is always a movie. The action is also visually satisfying very nice. Brian Cox as Agamemnon definitely hungry for power. His performance is high level. Peter O'Toole is also good as Priam, king of Troy Eric Bana as Hector was great, although I do not think physically match the party. Brad Pitt was not as bad as I was worried it would be. In fact, his performance was very good. Which brings me to my second point: While Brad Pitt performance was very good, I just I do not think that fits the character of Achilles. It seems that Brad Pitt was not completely comfortable with the character Achilles, and dress so that took control of his own personality, which changed the character a bit. Physically, but it seems perfect for the role. Eric Bana, on the other hand, is just the opposite. It really captured the essence of the character Hector, and their performance is great, but I do not think it is physically fit with the party. It just a kind of small and thin, while Hector is supposed to be taller and more muscular than Achilles, not as seen in the film. It also appeared that his character was a little too weak. It would be the greatest fighter in the world, only accompanied by Achilles, yet he struggled just something to kill the cousin of Achilles, who had never been in battle before. When you look at the ease with which Achilles killed the giant soldier at the beginning of the film, is kind of makes ...
