Review: Before seeing it, I knew I was in for a treat, because its Scorsese film, but it was even better than expected.The Departed acting is outstanding. Leonardo DiCaprio gives what is quite possibly the best performance of his career. Even people who hate you do not recognize a good thing. Its included some haters into fans and my brother, who despises even said it was great. Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson give Mr. Ripley best performances of their talent and good as it gets. Mark Wahlberg nearly steals the show with the best lines. Ray Winstone, Alec Baldwin and Martin Sheen are good, too.Definitely one of the best movies of the 00s. And easily one of the best remakes of all time. His intense, funny, exciting, suspenseful, superbly acted, violent, has great characters, and has one of the most shocking scenes I've seen. And theres not a dull moment in his two and a half hour running time. The film will likely be nominated for picture, director and adapted screenplay, and in my opinion, deserves all three of them. DiCaprio and Wahlberg also deserve nominations.See it as fast as you can.
